Art Beat can you hear us

Art Beat on Main Street got closed down by the mayor earlier this year as she facilitated the sale of the Art Beat building to another sushi proprietor.

This means the artists and patrons of Vista’s once-cultural hub are on the move, looking for friendly faces and spaces.

Into the breach recently entered Charity wings of San Marcos putting out an inviting video appealing to art Beat to make the move to its sister city to the east.

Charity Wings started out as Scrapbook Royalty in 2006, fundraising for other non-profits through scrapbooking events. In 2011 Scrapbook Royalty changed its name to Charity Wings in order for the organization to be open to all genres of art. The Charity Wings Art & Craft Center opened its doors April 29, 2013 in San Marcos.

The Charity Wings Art & Craft Center provides free art classes and events for other non-profit organizations both onsite and online, offering their beneficiaries  an outlet for creative expression, as well as the hope and healing that only art can provide.

It’s new 6,000-square-foot  community Art & Craft Center hosts a open studio, ceramics, sewing, polymer clay, metal smithing, jewelry making, fiber arts, mixed/multi media arts, kids area, event/party space and more.

In case Art Beat is watching, Charity Wings is at The Quad Suite #127, corner of Barham Drive and Campus Way (facing the freeway) San Marcos, CA 92078.
