Taking the road less traveled in the Robert Frost sense makes Escondido sense this month considering utility and water projects closing small stretches of two local streets.
Stanley Lane between Ash Street and Conway Drive will be closed due to the installation of new wet and dry utility services until March 31. All work will be performed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No vehicles will be able to access Stanley Lane via Ash Street including residents and emergency vehicles.
Residents and delivery vehicles will only have driveway access to Stanley from Conway Dr. However, gaining access to those locations during the full road closure will be limited and may cause some delays; again no through traffic on Stanley Lane will be allowed.
The new wet and dry utility installations are part of the new improvements for the Pradera Project by Lennar Homes which will deliver utility services to the new community and upgrades to some of the existing neighboring homes.
Persons with questions or comments may contact, Pradera Project Superintendent Rick Kuzyk at (949) 279-1354, or City of Escondido Field Engineering Inspector Ricardo Cervantes I, at (760) 807-1109.
Fig Street between Washington Avenue and Valley Parkway will be closed due to the installation of new recycled water pipes, The street’s temporary full closure continues through March 18. All work will be performed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Detour signs will be posted.
No through access will be allowed to either side of Fig Street via the Escondido Creek Canal bridge, including emergency vehicles. The new pipes are part of the City’s Recycled Water Easterly Main Extension Project which will deliver reclaimed water to eastern Escondido.
Residents and businesses will have driveway access at all times along Fig Street between Washington Avenue and Valley Parkway by either using Washington Avenue or Valley Parkway; no through traffic across the Escondido Creek Canal bridge will be allowed.
