Last June we released our first debut album, “Trouble” which was a huge stepping stone for us. It was our first project we wrote, produced, and sold on our own. Plus, it was 100 percent funded on Kickstarter with the help of our friends, family, and fans which makes it even more special to us.
Last summer I got to do something I have always dreamed of doing. I sang the National Anthem at Petco Park for the Padres game on July 25. It was the highlight of my year for sure.
Things have taken off for us since then. We’ve been on the road playing shows in Illinois, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Tennessee spreading the word about California Country and opening up for artist such as Craig Wayne Boyd, Sammy Kershaw, and James Otto.
We were excited to announce our latest album released last fall. It’s always an adventure getting back in the studio and recording. Paul and I have been writing together for five years now and I strongly feel it is some of our best songs we have written. I could not wait to share them with everyone and to go back out on the road.
The road from ‘American Idol‘
After auditioning for American Idol in 2012, I decided it was time to give it another shot this year hoping to make it further than last time. Last time I ended my idol career as one of the top 50 females in Hollywood week and this time I was very fortunate to make it to Hollywood week again. However I was not chosen to stay after the second day. Maybe it’s time to give “The Voice a shot!”
I am so excited for this coming summer. Not only do we have super awesome shows coming up, but we also have a super awesome band of some of the most talented musicians around. I still have a hard time believing I get to play with them.
Over the years we have had the pleasure with working with a lot of San Diego musicians and I couldn’t be more excited about these guys!. If you haven’t had a chance to watch them rock out, I highly suggest you do.
